Parc André Citroën
No, it's not a car park, it a park park in Paris, France
Opened in 1992 in the southwest coner of the city and named after the car dude, there's little surprise that this is a sort of avant-garde urban park.
Lots of the small gardens are based around odd, artsy themes—the five senses, movement, wildflowers—and all of them are tied together by water: rushing, pooling, falling, jetting, and just generally creating a relaxing babbling-brook backdrop to the whole park.
Tips
- Planning your time: It takes a good 45–60 minutes to examine each of the themed gardens—plus, one does not generally rush through a park.
