Delacroix frescoes and organ concerts in a Paris church

Beyond the imposing facade and its massive twin towers lies an echoing, dark Renaissance interior (17th/18th century).

The greatest hit is in the first chapel on the right: a chapel frescoed by Delacroix with Jacob Wrestling the Angel on one wall, Heliodorus Driven from the Temple on the other, and St. Michael Slaying the Dragon on the ceiling. (Hit the button on the corner of the chapel nearest the front doors to illuminate the paintings.)

There's also a famous rose line along the pavement that featured prominently in the Da Vinci Code.

If you time it just right, you might also hit one of the fab concerts on the church's renowned 18th/19th-century organ.
