The
day begins at 5 a.m. for Mohammed Chishti, head chef of the senior center kitchen
at the Don Bosco Centers in Kansas City. Five days a week, Chishti and his assistant,
Jonathan Vargas, cook for 1100 people. The meals, which are served at the senior
center and to homebound seniors in the neighborhood, usually exceed the required
third of the daily recommended allowance for adults. |
