I have, on occasion, made some small contribution to various guidebooks written by others.

Sometimes they give you a byline when you do this (which sometimes disappears several editions later) as with the Art & Architecture essays I wrote for Frommer's European titles. Sometimes they don't.

• Frommer’s Utah, 1st & 2nd ed.—Feature on the Sundance Film Festival.
• Frommer’s Colorado, 3rd ed.—Uncredited skiing coverage of all major resorts and mountains.
• Frommer’s Montana & Wyoming, 1st ed.—Uncredited text on Native American history.
• Frommer’s Carolinas & Georgia, 1st ed.—Uncredited coverage of nightlife in Athens, Georgia.
