Hearty food and people-watching by the beach in Cefalù

There's an impressive antipasto spread under the wood ceilings of this century-old warehouse, but most everybody comes to sit under the awning out front and watch the people parade strolling past along the beachfront promenade.

Part of their popularity is that they serve pizza both at lunch and dinner, although you can always go for a full meal, perhaps starting with lasagne al forno, rigatoni pomodoro e mozzarella, or risotto alla marinara.

If you don't order fresh orata (bream) or spigola (sea bass) to be grilled as a main course, you can always fall back on the oft-requested gamberi fritti or a braciole di maiale (pork chop).
