Denmark travel guide

Denmark in a nutshell

Denmark is a bit of a crossroads of the North Sea, straddling the worlds of Greater Scandinavia (of which it is a part) and the Low Countries (to which it is connected).

It is a surprising place to visit, aimed toward modernism yet steeped in history, with lovely baroque palaces in Copenhagen (as well as the lovely Tivoli Gardens) and arguably the country's most famous sight (after the waterfront Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen) the mighty 16th century Helsingor Castle, where that fact that there is 0% chance that the 12th century prince Amleth ("Hamlet") actually brooded and plotted in the corridors does not stop thousands of Shakespeare fans from flocking here every year.
