Hotels in Bari

This is more of a residence than a hotel—they clean the place twice a week rather than daily (plus, of course, before a new customer moves in)—and while nothing about it really merits a star rating, I can dub it the best value in Bari. Accommodations are all mini-apartments featuring modernissimo baths and kitchenettes; even the singles are spacious. The furniture is all standardized, and beds predictably saggy, so don't expect the Ritz. You pay for the level of comfort at this businessperson's hotel, but you're safely within the New City yet just a few short blocks from the castello and historic district. The well-built modular furnishings have suede accents, but the carpets are beginning to stain and scuff in places. Most rooms are cut to a modest size, and while windows are fairly soundproof, request a room on the back cortile to escape the bus and traffic noise.
