The amazingly cheap train/ferry ride from London to Dublin

Yes, you can take a train from London to Dublin—well, you have to switch to a ferry for the last bit. The journey lasts 7–9 hours total and it only costs £33—which as you can see, is roughly the price of the ferry ticket alone. In fact, that £33 price is good from any rail station in Britain. Most trains (from the west, south, and southwest) arrive at Heuston Station, on the west end of town. Those from the north pull into the more central Connolly Station.
