Barcelona lodgings

Hotel rooms in Barcelona
Some non-hotel lodging options in Barcelona: The penthouse of B&B Room3 overlooking Plaça Reial in the Barri Gotíc (from €31); An ornate dorm in the Serenity Gotic Hostel (from €12); An apartment sleeping up to 5 in the Old City's El Raval neighborhood (from €41).

Accommodations: Where to stay in Barcelona

Don't just look at hotels—which in Barcelona average €60–€210 for a double room at a mid-range hotel (one locally ranked three or four stars).

Most other lodging options are more interesting—and nearly always cheaper.

Small, family-run B&Bs can be way friendlier than hotels and usual run €30–€90 for two people.

Rental apartments offer a greater degree of independence—and often much more space, including a working kitchen and rooms for 4–6 people to sleep (great for families)—and average around €40 to €90 per night.

Hostels are considerbaly cheaper for solo travelers, and offer a communal atmosphere (and, these days, far cozier rooms than the dorm-like "youth hostels" of yore), and charge just €11–€18 per person.
